Putting together my 749 engine and need to know what you folks recommend for the Flywheel nut torque. To be more specific it is the nut that threads on to the crank shaft on the alternator side ...

240 Nm is what we use, some of the manuals say 187 and the 1098 says 300 and are all the same nut PN. Ducatis have had many come loose at 187 because the nut is not a good fit so has no "lock nut" resistance, use red locktite on the threads and some molly grease on the nut flange.

Thanks for the tip ... I checked the workshop manual and they say 270NM
The Haynes manual says 186NM same nut etc etc ... 300NM is outrageous.
I am going to shoot for 240NM and hope for the best :)

Any other tips or suggestions are welcome :)
