My 1992 SS is over at the dealer right now for new belts (only 2000 miles on engine, but the belts are very old), tires, etc. I originally told mechanic (Country Joe) to put the flatslides from my wrecked Superlight onto the '92, but then reconsidered and wanted him to get the stock carbs running right. Do you think I should just go with the FCRs? I would have to invest in a new cable kit as the right clip-on was destroyed in the crash. My '92 has a stock exhaust. Would that have to be replaced? Previous owner did put in a K&N filter and replaced all of the emissions eqpt. beneath the seat with a crankcase breather.
