Flat Track Racing

Did you know that Ducati has a presence in national flat track racing? Last week Ducati announced a $180,000 contingency fund for the 2018 season. I travel to about half of the races and post photos and stories on a dedicated Facebook page. I also post photos in the photography section of Ducati.MS. Take a look.

I did know this and it’s pretty cool. Do you know when the next race in Costa Mesa, CA is?

Edit: I googled the schedule and they won’t be coming to Southern California! <img src="http://www.ducati.ms/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Frown" class="inlineimg" />

Guess I’ll have to head to Sacramento in May. I might catch a race in IL or OH since I visit that area yearly.

I’m surprised the Scrambler’s 800cc 2V air cooled engine is not an approved twin to race. I noticed they are looking into the possibility of reducing maximum engine capacity for next year. So I believe 1000cc would no longer be legal if they do that.

The Scrambler 1100 engine would never make the cut even with this year’s regs.
