A question for all you ECU gurus,

Can a Fiat Punto 1.2 59F ECU be reprogrammed with DucatiDiag to basically become a Ducati ST4s ECU?

May need a new ECU and am exploring all the available options.

It is a possibility that the one coil driver is fried.

Thanks

Tim

I was head scratching that injector issue in the other thread, but just don't have a clue. I don't understand why it is firing during the ducatidiag test but not while running.

Do all the other sensor readings check out?

That is really cool that the Punto uses the same ECU. I really think that is a question for jpl. He has intimate knowledge with regard to the internal map and hopefully compatibility.

Just a question, how much is the Punto ECU? I wonder if that is how a few places can offer realistic prices for ECUs compared to the extortion that Duc charges.

Have a good one.

The answer is no.
You must have the correct ecu with correct hardware version.
Ducati uses following hardware version
59M HW010
5AM HW103
5AM HW610
