I don't think it is the same
The 998 uses a different radiator triangle. It is square on the bottom.
The 998 belly pan is different than the 996. It is "squared off" on the bottom as well.
I think the front part is the only thing that is different. If that was the case, you could probably trim the radiator triangle or swap it for a 998 piece.
