Since my heads are going to be coming off to fix the valve guide issue (re. another thread), I'm thinking perhaps there are a couple of things that can be done here...

has anyone fit these FBF high compression pistons?

if so, do you have a Power commander or a DP ECU? Going big bore would be much more costly, and I read is some places that it does sacrifice engine life to a degree... so I think this is a good compromise..

also, has anyone gone with the TPO Beast-R?

based on what they say it seems one could boost the engine by a combined 17hp with these mods, for less than $1K in parts... not too shabby.

if anyone has done either and cares to chime in to share their experience, it would be much appreciated. thanks!

i have done a little research, dont have either installed, but the difference between the tpo beast vs the beast-r is the R gets you more top end but sacrifices some of the low end, relative to the beast. my take was that the -R was really meant for track, and that if the majority of your riding was twisties or not on track then you would probably do better with the regular TPO Beast.
