East Coast Meetup #13, Sunday 5/21 - Saturday 5/27. Lucky #13. If you've been you know how special this event is. If you're even thinking about it - DO IT! The Blue Ridge and Foothills Parkways (especially the new bit, omfg), the Cherohala Skyway, the Tail of The Dragon, Route 28, all are truly must-ride experiences. And riding with frens makes these epic twisties more epic-er. You'll be even faster in the evening as you recount the day's adventures over beers and whatever back at the Lodge. ;)

This year promises to be extra special as we return to the slightly less posh, significantly less expensive, but no less warm and wonderful Fontana Village Resort, 800-849-2258, 828-498-2211, [email protected].

Book early to get the group discount rate, after Feb 1 the rooms get released to the general public.

Any chance you can bring a 32mm 3/8 drive socket and a couple spare thin and thick clutch steels?

Don't think I can wait until Rel for the first meal of the day. Going to grab some toast and coffee at the restaurant in a bit.

I have a 3/8" drive but I don't have a 32mm socket. No clutch steels.

Anyone wanting to ride in WV might want to consider basing themselves out of Elkins, WV. I used to go down every year or two, and stay in a Comfort Inn. There are some fast food places, but the 1863 Grill in the Isaac Johnson Hotel was a real nice place to get a good meal in the evening. A little fancier than Caffe REL, but comparable prices.
Disclaimer: I haven't been in over 20 years, since I moved to the other end of Tennessee, so YMMV...
Lt. Dan! Ice cream.
SHIT. busted. It was non-dairy! sugar-free! yeah, that's the ticket...

Good question. I'm at Wildwood right now, no one else here. 🙂
I should be there a little bit before 7 PM.
I count six bikes and ten people in the Cafe Rel photo. Are four of y’all riding two up or is there a support van trailing everyone?

I did see a Duc, an Aprilia, and a Triumph on the parkway today but none of the bikes looked like yours. Must’ve been a different group.

@Rich & Paul, I think folks are dining on their own, then meeting at the cabin (#420) campfire per protocol.

Thanks for the update, Rich, I will eat in town in that case. See y’all later this evening.
