As mentioned in my ST2 thread, the PC that came installed is dead. I removed it and put the bike back together after finding that it starts/runs without issue in stock form.
I did some bench testing this evening and found that it WILL power up through the harness after all. But, that's all it will do. I had it powered from my 12V power supply through both the harness and the external port. Its LED will do the self-check bit either way. But, in trying to use my laptop to do anything with maps, it fails to see the PC.
So, who's successfully dug into these (literally, dug into the potting) and found a cause? Of those, who wants to try with this one?
