My friend is doing two projects at the moment that have no expenses spared. One is a 999S and the other is an MV Agusta EVO III. Some of the components on these bikes are amazing, and many are parts I'll never see in my lifetime. I think the swingarm for the 999 is stunning, I forget who makes it, but damn, what an upgrade!

All of those part$ probably cost more than the bike itself! You can buy a brand new GSXR for the price of those forks alone!

If you count the both the Duc and MV parts there, all of it combined is, what, maybe US$60, $70k ?? ... More maybe?

It'd be my guess that the MV Agusta alone will top $60k. Not sure about the Ducati, but I'm sure it's over half of that.

Those parts look faniliar...
Did the owner have his bike at CasoliUSA at one time?
I remember talking to a guy that got burned by them for a bunch of money. We then shipped a bunch of parts to MotoTek to finish up the bike.

another cool project - not a duc but a twin

Mototek also has another nice project bike, an Aprilia RS250:
http://www.mototek.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=718 makes me regret selling mine last year.

I was there on Saturday checking them out, very nice. The wheels, rotors, Ohlins fork, and swingarm for the 999 are incredible. I felt like a bum merely getting an STM slipper clutch installed on my RSV.
