Imagine you've just sat through a rainy/windy 6 hours of near monsoon weather at the Indianapolis MotoGP.

You're not looking forward to the prospect of riding home on a soaking wet bike and you walk out to this!!!!

The super strong wind blew them over.

My guess is the covers on the first two bikes acted as sails and tipped them over causing a domino effect.

That's a lot of damaged Ducati hardware lying there.

8 Ducs in total. Most damaged on both sides since they hit the ground and then had another bike land on them. The Tri-Colore looked the worst.

ouch that sucks... I was working on my exhaust and the wind was blowing big chunks of mulch into my eyes... I live 30mins south of Indy. We didn't have a nasty rain, but the wind was pretty bad.

Terrible. I will be pissed. I am sure all those guys are friends and parked close to each others... I bet the 2 guys with the covers will have a tough ride back home and this GP should have cost them a fortune for the repairs on the other bikes.... There is a tri-color on the floor...a 1098.

Makes my stomach hurt.

Looks like the bike covers caught extreme wind. What happens in a situation like this? Doesn't appear that the domino affect was due to negligence. Was it? Can't blame them for covering their bikes.

We saw this one coming, we were there when the guy with the tricolore rode in. The winds were gusting at over 50mph later in the day, my wife even mention that she would not be surprised if a few of the bikes got knocked over. We almost got knocked off the sands, thank god for the railings.

OOOHHH GD that suxxxx!!

I'd blame the two _______ that put the damn sails on their bikes on windy ass days.

All that so that their lil' tooshies wouldn't get too wet, P*ssies. GEEEEZ i'd be F'n furious. (although i do understand it was unintentional)

That would be very crappy to see at the end of the day! How would insurance work, everybody make a damage claim?

That's the first thing that came to my mind. WTF were they thinking? Covers are like guns, just because you have one, doesn't mean you have to use it.
"I'm scared, my previous Ducati is gonna get rained on!"

Ahh... Jimmy, its raining outside, its gonna get wet...

LOL ;)

Takes all kinds to make a world go round. I wonder what the aftermath of that incident was?
