Any suggestions on where to buy Ducati OEM parts? I noted that on line parts finders are not available for any Ducati bikes prior to year 2000, such as at Ducati of Omaha. Any suggestions? I do not have a close Ducati dealer where I am at. Thanks!

Buy a parts manual for your bike. Then use the online places. Depending on which bike you have the parts manual might be available online - I've forgotten the site in the Netherlands(?) that has so many of the Ducati manuals for a low fee, but I'm sure someone will post it here.

I use Commonwealth for OEM stuff

Thanks, I could not find an electronic parts manual (diagram type or listing) and according to Ducati Omaha, no CDs exist so you need to find a paper copy. This is bizarre to me coming off Japanese bikes. My bike is a 98 900FE.

I have been searching around too for this. I have not found a dealer that specifically sells Pre 2000 parts. If you can find the part number from a parts catalog, plug it into Ducati of Omaha's website. I have not ordered from them yet but most of my searches produce available items. A little pricey but hey, it's a Ducati...

Another freebie parts manual here.

I also hit www.Ducati.com and downloaded later parts manuals for 748 and 750 and 900SSie (and Monsters) to compare the part numbers. You will be surprised that some from the 749/916 series are the same. eg clutch pushrod.

I actually just found a somewhat obscure part I needed (49810071a) in stock at a dealer in Minnesota, but if anyone has more suggestions for looking for OEM parts online, post away. http://engelandmoto.com/ is good too, they are also on eBay.

Looks like under the supersport section they have a parts catalog and a workshop manual for 1991. I don't know enough about compatibility but maybe these will work?
