Has anyone used or kowledge about the last patch P8 442 ECU at years 98-99 996 bikes. The type is Magneti Marelli P8 442 and it has been mentioned at technical books and documents. I don´t have any information what are the last changes compare to the before model P8 435 that was used at street bikes 996 SPS . if anyone has it, I would be interested to swap or buy it :|macci

The Corse IAW442 is the same as those used on Aston-Martin's of the epoch. They had gold-plated connectors and some higher-end electronics in them, from memory.
We used to buy the Aston Martin ones as spares, because they were a fraction of the price, yet exactly the same part...
Big difference is the ability to drive the third injector the 996 R and early RS used, before they switched to the full all-singing, all dancing Marelli "Red-box" kit in 2001
