I understand paying a bit more for the early bikes with the riveted side panels intact, but don't get me started on the absurd Varese thing. Anyone who pays that much more for one probably wants a Senna, a US-spec Bostrom, and a Superlight too.

I'm sure the Varese factory was a real stress-free environment during 1994.

I mean, there's just been a fire across town and you've had to drop everything and been told to try and assemble these 916s as quick as you can, you're already behind on orders, and cash flow is obviously tight as parts sometimes show up on the day they're needed!

The relief when production switched back to borgo panigale would've been immense.

:LOL::LOL: I was just thinking I would respond by saying "aren't they still $5k?" That's what I paid for mine back in '01.
