Hi Tmnstr,

Sure, in fact I'll do one better and post some photos shortly. The existing S2R swingarm suspension mount might work with this design...

Hi Tmnstr,

Sorry for the tardy response, I was holding off to take some shots of it installed but having done that, the photos don't really show the mechanical detail in black.

Here it is raw, and a sneaky shot with one of the pipes on:

Nice! I was wondering if a bottom pivot would work out better:) Shortens the stroke needed for full range of movement. Great use of the mounting holes on the back if the engine case!

Thanks for sending,

Tmnstr

No problem, just let me know if you want more info.

I have to paint the interim wheels... I liked the Red/Burnt Orange clash initially but its getting old fast. I think the maiden run might be only a matter of weeks away, cant wait!

Famous Last Words

Watching paint dry is like... wait...

Yep, this is still going. Haven't had a huge amount of time on it recently, have found my focus drawn elsewhere over the Summer break.

By way of updates: completed the new wiring loom including Reh's Motogadget module, reassembled into a vintage headlight bucket and tested. Brackets for the new head and tail lights, under tank battery, various other little brackets all fab'ed and powder coated.

Going with the OEM tank and Diopa tail in Burnt Orange while I find time to hand sand the alu tank and tail. Black S2R wheels until I can draw blood from the Kineo stone.

Hopefully button it all up next week and start the shakedown immediately, plus the long promised pics and videos.

Shakedown

A great weekend, with the ECU flashing and mapping done, I picked up the bike and have barley dragged myself away from it for the past 2 days :D

Next is just some clean up / details, after these photos I replaced the mirrors and reservoirs, then rain halted any fun. Stage One complete; ride out any issues, then get back into the next plans for the bike. I also ordered a go-pro, so will get some better quality shots and a video or two at some stage soon. Until then, phone shots will have to suffice

It would never have been possible without the invaluable support from Brad and Robson at Bikecraft, Darryl at Motologic, SM70, Reh, Martin at MotoWheels, Greg at WASP, JCPak, Eight Forty Eight, Tmnstr, [email protected] Fab and everyone who offered kind words and practical advice. Thanks!

Cheers - Las

I've always thought that the Mono swingarm was the prettiest... but holy!! that SSSA is pornographic!!!
Obviously you have taste, but now I cant stop wondering what a Double McChicken might be like... ha ha ha.

Thanks, gotta love trellis frames and swingarms, visually captivating engineering.

That is a great looking machine. Nice work there.

The headlight / speedo / switch treatment is pure cool.

One request: We need a video with sound of it running. Either stationary or rolling along. Please?!?

Well that is one SWEEEET ride! Nicely done! Did you also fab the exhaust?
Hi Jeff, thanks. The exhaust was a group effort, most of the fabrication was done by Brad at Bikecraft, my role was mostly 'designing' the angles in the air and complaining.

Hey Duc MS,

Some more pics from yesterday, before the tape came off the Watsens on the rear and the mirror and reservoir swaps. The headlight needs lowering, that's next :)

congrats!

Great work Lascivus!

I hope you don't mind but I put up a shot of your build with a link to this thread on my Ducati Sport Classic tumblr.

I'm also working on building a Sport Classic Register, nothing commercial just trying to help bring Sport Classic owners together in person as well as online.

Best of luck as you sort through the final details, and hopefully there will be the opportunity to get the regions Sport Classic's together for a Black Spur run in the not too distant future...
