Are all DS1000 engines the same? IE will a Multistrada engine fit into a GT frame? I think so, but want to be sure before i drop a lot of cash... Please oh please say yes! :D

From research it looks like most will fit, but I can't find any info about the MTS engine specifically. Chiefly concerned about the swingarm and frame mounts, as I'd really like this to be plug and play...

It's a DS1000 Multistrada, which means it must be 2003-2006...

You gotta check to make sure the swingarm bearings are inside the cases like the SportClassic DS1000s. Cross check the parts fiche for both to find your answer. I'm assuming they're the same. The Hyper DS motors do not have swingarm bearings in the cases, which is why they're not a drop-in replacement without using the Hyper SA or heavily modifying a SC swingarm.

Thanks for the info... Looks like I have to stick with engines from SCs, Monster 1000, S2R, or 1000SS. Oh well!
