Drove tonight to my local coffee shop in downtown Tulsa and a guy who was sitting outside asked me if it was my bike that was "giving out." and "needed new spark plugs"

I promptly proceeded to instruct him on the infamous dry clutch.
Not sure if he believed me or not. But it was still pretty humorous.
Anybody else have stories like this?

?-max.

My gunny asked me if I had a bearing loose one time... I just smiled and said it was supposed to sound like that!

I had a Supersport with a semi open clutch cover on an otherwise
totally stock bike, the police stopped me just to let me know that
this is considered a class "c" noise violation and good for some points
and a 100 Euro fine.

I forgot to ask, if putting a sticker on my bike is any kind of violation
too then, class "a" maybe.

I have to laugh because i run down my street to and from my house in first gear at a low rpm to not disturb my neighbors with the arrows....but my motorcycle buddy neighbor who I've never spoken to comes out of his garage most times as I sputter by to watch the commotion on 2 wheels run by. I know he's thinking "what the hell is wrong with his bike!?" That is until I light my arrows up at 7 grand!!

When I brought my 748 home and started for my wife she asked what was wrong with it. When I said it supposed to sound like that she said "I thought Ducatis were supposed to be nice" lol

He was right, they sound like shit.
Its just a rattly noisy joke.
Obviously to each his own. I understand your thoughts. It is however one reason I choose to purchase a 06 vs a newer SC, because I wanted the dry clutch. I always liked the sound :)

More than once, I've had people ask if it's a diesel.
