I installed a Ducati Performance Quickshifter on my '07 1098 today but can't wrap my head around how it works, sort of.

I assume the wiring to the kickstand switch fools the ECU in thinking that the stand is down for a split second to cut spark. Am I accurate here? Then the other connector, which hooks into the rear brake light switch harness I'm lost on, other than it being the power source. Am I in the ballpark here guys?

Just trying to figure it out if I have any issues as I'm testing it tomorrow at the track. All parked tests with the leds for setting cutoff time, sensativity, and neutral went well.
