Getting ready to purchase an '04 998 Matrix and I'm looking around for an exhaust. I know that a full system won't fit the non-deep sump motor without modification (and I'm not entirely sure that a full system is necessary for me). But I'm looking around for a half system and it seems like no one carries them in-stock. Does anyone know who still stocks 998 exhausts?

I've looked at Motowheels, and all the 998 exhausts are special order. I find that typically when vendors no-longer stock a part because of the "age" of the bike or car, it's typically not too long before the part just isn't made anymore.

Do you need a system asap? Does it have to be new?

Haven't picked up the bike yet so I don't need it ASAP. And I'm good with used as long as it's in good shape. I just don't want a basic slip on, looking for a half system like a 45/50 (or a little bigger on the muffler side).

OK, got an answer from Motowheels. They can get the exhausts for the 998, but it takes about 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. Spectrum, I will be calling you shortly as well to check with your part department. One thing I've noticed about the Ducati scene is that, with the exception of ARC Fabrication, then vendors have all been top notch, very helpful, and involved within the community. Thanks!

Go to the Fast by Ferracci website and warm up your Visa! They have new old stock corse parts for all the older model superbikes. Or call them at 215.657.1276 !

I did see those, 998 isn't listed under the applications, but is there a significant difference between a 996 and 998 half system? Head pipes, yes, but the other pipe work?

I'm pretty sure the slip ons will work just fine (50mm). Double Check! But at that price I'd get the half system. Just as a reference my dealer has a set of Ti Termi slip ons for a 998 priced at $1,800. I'd be willing to bet that the Sil Motors are far better build quality. I currently have a 50-54mm Termi full system on my S and all the welds are cracking and breaking at the mountng points.
I'd be all over these except I just purchased some Motocorse slip ons to replace my banged up Temis. I'd highly recommend the Motocorse stuff but it's crazy expensive. Heres a link or two. :)

I have the stock exhaust from my 02 998 and also the stock ECU. Ping me a message with your email address if interested.
Thanks, but my bike is stock. I was looking for aftermarket exhausts.
