I’m looking for a throttle body for a 2006 999S.
Does anyone know if the 749, 999 and 999S Throttle Bodys are the same?
The part number for the 2006 999S I think is 282.4.054.1A.

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked and the part numbers are different.
The 749: 282.4.058.1A
The 999: 282.4.054.1A
So I’m guessing they must be different?

the idle stop setting is different, otherwise identical. actually, it seems it's euro and usa, not 749 and 999 ime. all the ones i've seen (euro spec) have been "749" 1.3 degree idle setting.

You are not supposed to adjust the idle screw on the throttle body though, right?

no. never stopped most of us. it's worth doing to set them up right.

should be enough info to really get you into trouble.

you can also retro fit the iwp189 injector, the 12 hole from the 999R. allegedly makes them run cleaner.

Cheers Bradblack, That's a really interesting article and could defiantly get me into trouble, but better to get messed up in knowledge then idle in ignorance:)
