Being a Cheapskate Limey,I decided to make a Guard for the oil cooler which is in extreme danger of being damaged by stone ejected from the front tyre.
I would imagine an oil cooler radiatior would cost a few bucks.

All I've done is get a sheet of that stuff pictured here, don't know what it's called so its "stuff",cost about £5.00.;)
And then had some silver screen trim around it.

All I did was offer it up to the area concerned, mark it out with a black marker pen and cut it to suit.
Then cut the trim to length and slid it on .Unfortunately I didn't have quite enough left to finish but you get the idea.
I'll probably make a couple of lightwieght brackets which will be secured by the hugger bolts either side at the bottom.:abduct:

Very nice, I love things like that, once it's got trim all around and mounted properly no one will be the wiser, actually usefull too, hats off to ya.
Russell , is that chrome trim the same kind of stuff they used to put onto the gutters of Minis ?

There's always one....
i was under the impression the lower portion was a combo coolant/oil system. No?
it's a radiator,, but there is a heat exchanger for the oil to water behind it..
but really,, if we want to be Techinical.. it's even an oil cooler would still be a 'radiator' .. just an Oil radiator. :)
