Well, had it now for a whopping 22 days and it's definitely fun.

However the throttle is incredibly touchy/sensitive. 1st and 2nd gear in turns are difficult to modulate. I find in street traffic I'm constantly riding the clutch to provide some driveline "cushion." Is this SOP for these bikes? It's REALLY difficult to be smooth with the throttle as it comes on so quickly.

Is there a different profile or throttle cam or something to tame this a bit?

Sounds like you already have a G2 Throttle Tamer. Once installed, it is as if the grip was on ball bearings. Very, very smooth, but bumps in road cause changes in the throttle positioning. The ramp is very nice, but positioning can easily change.

I use the cruise control to add a little friction to the throttle to modify the spontaneous changes.

I never found the OE throttle to be as touchy. S

I modified my throttle tube by drilling a new cable anchor hole and carving out some material to reduce the cable pull from just off of idle and it worked fine for me.

My aftermarket throttle cam is aluminium and is nice and progressive. Don't know what brand it is but suspect it's a G2.
