Hey all!

I'm about to take delivery of my dream bike 06 Sport Classic 1000 monoposto tomorrow! The previous owner has replaced the gas cap with another one as it was getting corroded so now i'm left with a key for the ignition and another one for the gas cap. I'd love to be able to just use one. Can anyone advise me on how to proceed? Much appreciated!

Best regards,

Mike

:grin2:

EDIT: I believe I have the original gas cap and lock if that helps. Is it possible to swap just the locks?

Do you have the old cap and lock? It is appears to be easy (2 screws) to switch the lock cylinder over to the new cap. If you don't have the old one you could probably remove the new lock cylinder and take it to a competent locksmith who could change the pins to match the ignition key. Two keys would be a PIA. Because I use a tank bag I have a flush mount billet job with a screw on cap...no key needed. One more option.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply! Yes I do, but I can't see any screws really. Not sure if I can do anything here. Here are some pics of what I have:

Cheers,
