Are there any? Specifically, are they compatible. I have a lower, Ohlins sized triple from a 748/916/996, can Inuse it to convert a 749 Dark to Ohlins, if so, what else do I need? Any advice, as always, appreciated.

the downgraded 748 00 - 02 and the base/dark 749 03- 06 use the same lower triple #. so, yes.

Thank you Sir. So, what I have is the bottom Ohlins compatible triple without a stem. Does anyone know if the 749 Dark has a threaded stem or does it press into the bottom? The bottom I have is not threaded.

the screw in stem is only on the rough cast 916 style lower triple, not the smoother monster/ss/st style lower triple. they're all a shrink fit afaik. well, i tried once to get one out and gave up before it moved, but i'm sure they're not threaded.

the stem wasn't ever a separate part afaik.
