Greetings,

I'm looking to get a new set of slip on's for my '91 851, and am looking at stock OEM cans. The current cans are coded ZDM A05 and B05. Based on a parts diagram for the 851, using the right side as a reference, the part number is indicated as being 57310042C. To confuse matters, the parts diagram for an early 900SS has the aforementioned 851 part number listed, but also listed is 57310363A, and the way it's listed would lead me to believe they're interchangeable.

The cans for the 900SS are not only easier to find, but half the cost. Anyone know the difference between the two, if any?

fuck me, this question must be coming up every week these days.

non sp 851 and 888 and 900SS 1990 - 1997 mufflers are all interchangeable. while the 888 and some usa spec 900ss used a different, larger body muffler without the removeable rear baffle, fitments are all the same.

Thanks...I found a bit of conflicting info out there, so was looking for some confirmation. So the mufflers are interchangeable, from 1990-1997, between 851 Strada's, 888's and 900SS's for the most part.
