I bought this Elefant last Spring with 6000 km on it. The guy just never rode it, but had it towed to the Ducati dealer every couple of years to clean the carbs and get it running. Really, really sad. Like a pure breed greyhound just chained up in the backyard. I rode it, ran great, so I bought it and went through it. Really needed just the usual elefantadventurebikes electrickery: Primary connection upgrade, heavy duty battery cable, fixed ground, cyclops LED headlights. I added Shorai Lithium battery, heated grips, PDM60 distribution box, Hondo Garage powered phone mount, voltmeter. It already has a sweet-sounding Supertrapp exhaust and a nice Corbin seat, but I commute on it, so I bought some side cases for the Givi wingrack.

Favorite aspect of the bike? The sound. Before this, I mostly putt-putted around off-road or on gravel & dirt park roads on my DR650. So needless to say this motorcycle moves me. The sound makes me emotional. Trying to keep it in check.

I know this bike cannot compete with y'alls bikes above, which are gorgeous beyond compare, but there's something about this bike that has transformed my love of riding. Plus I have literally never even seen another one aside from the interwebz. I had to post it.

And up for your enjoyment is my very early 1991 Ducati 900SS serial number 28. This motorcycle was originally owned & built by Renato Ami Ducati's head tech rep in Italy. I acquired this motorcycle in 2019 after it had been sitting neglected for 18 years. I did a complete service including valves, belts, tyres, brake pads, fuel pump & filter & all fuel lines etc. Cleaned & lined the tank-( it looked far worse then it was). when I purchased it it was in basically bone stock condition.
I have changed & installed
1)- Solo Seat w/ Corbin Saddle
2)-vented clutch cover
3) Carbon 900SL Ft & R mudguards
4) lightened stock flywheel
5) Carbon Tech High slip-on's
6) Stainless Brake & Clutch lines
7) has original owners manual, tool kit & service manual
8) I have but not installed yet --2 piece Marvic Super Light wheels & rotors
9) 42 tooth rear sprocket
10) external fuel petcock
11) rear brake low mount with odd support installed by Renato
I think you forgot to attach some pics.
