That was funny!

But why he's gotta talk smack about Flossi?

At first, reading the title of the thread, I thought it would be an open letter to JLO from us at Ducatims. I laughed; it's really come to this.

He's not a team player, I'm not sure why anyone is interested in him.
Could it be that he has 5 world championships to his name. Dislike him for his persona the press give us but don’t deny his riding skills. The bike seems like a one rider pony more then any bike seen in MotoGP. Hindsight is 20/20 vision. Jlo though he was better then Rossi. And under Dovi and Iannone it was a formidable beast. Ducati (are as much to blame by thinking they have “the” bike) and fucked up. Jlo (thought he was better then Rossi) misjudged himself and fucked up. My only worry/regret is that we will lose him in MotoGP.

I agree we shouldn't give up on him. On the Yamaha he was untouchable. He's still a formidable talent, just needs the right bike and situation to shine.

A member on ADV Rider ran into to him and his assistant at an airport in Europe and said he was just a nice guy, friendly, polite, unassuming...not the monster the press would have us believe.

George appears to have gone.

MotoGP: Ducati download Jorge Lorenzo "He did not manage to get the best"

Claudio Domenicali puts the Spanish rider at the door.*Now there remain 14 GPs separated from home

Jorge Lorenzo, the adventure in Ducati is over.*Ducati downloaded it with a sharp statement by Claudio Domenicali, the company's managing director.*"He is a great driver who has not managed to get the best out of our bike,"said the Red number one.*"Unfortunately neither he nor the technicians managed to make his talents to the maximum.*This is a bit of bitterness that remains*".

Domenicali put Lorenzo on the sidelines of a niche event, namely the presentation of a new Ducati commercial activity in Bologna.*Externation difficult to understand, by way, place and time: there are still 14 GPs still to be disputed, and the top management does not speak of normal turnover, but without half terms of the failure of a project costing € 25 million.
The CEO has also outlined the profile of the pilot who will take the place of Lorenzo alongside the already confirmed Andrea Dovizioso.*"*He will be a pilot we are talking to and that will bring the team to work in a balanced and joint way*.*Andrea Dovizioso is the driver on which we focus our cards.*"

I'd like to see Lorenzo on Zarcos bike. We'd all be remanded of how good he is on a smooth machine. JL99 on that bike plus a warm weather/less rain year = championshiop contender.
I'm not so sure about that. Based on his past performance compared to Rossi I tend to think he would be in the same boat as Rossi and Mav are now.

I think Zarco is the real deal. He's fast despite the problems with the Yamaha.

Not sure I agree with that as Rossi is always fast, Mav is greased lightening so for me it has to be something on the factory bikes that's not right.

Zarco isn't that much a better rider than Rossi, Yamaha just need to get their shit together again.

Zarco is riding the factory hand-me-downs. The factory has even tried backtracking to older parts because Zarco is so fast on the old parts. Guess what? Zarco is still faster.

They are using different electronics and frames.
The factory bikes aren't doing what the riders ask them to do.
There's only 3 points separating the 3 Yamaha's so he's not that good and still a point behind Mav.
If he was 20 point ahead I could understand you getting carried away about it.
Zarco rides a little crazy at times according to other riders and he can do that as he has nothing to lose.
Put JoLo on Zarco's bike and he'd still be way off MM's results.

Well, yes, Zarco is on the old bike, but it’s the last bike to do well, and with updated parts it’s an improved version, but like Davy says above, the frame and electrics are unchanged, so the bike is unruined. Obviously I can’t say MV would be faster than Zarco, I’ll just say I wish they could fix the Yamaha and at least give MM something to think about.

What some people still don't appreciate is whatever form of motorsport, it's always somewhere around 85% machine and 15% rider.
A top rider will put it on the top step and a good rider will podium but it's still largely due to the machine.
