My father, two of his friends and I are heading down to the AMA Superbike race in Birmingham AL the third week in Apr.. The "penciled" schedule is to leave on Wed Apr 19 from the No.VA area and arrive in Deals Gap that evening. Thurs would be spent riding the Dragon and nearby roads. We would then finish the rest of the trip to Birmingham on Fri (maybe catching the last bit of practice). Sat and Sun would of course be at that fine facility and then Mon Tues is a return trip. If anyone is interested in crossing paths or riding together that weekend, it'd be a great chance to meet some motorheads from around this area...

I live an hour or so from the Gap. I don't like to ride that road myself (too much goofy stuff going on) but I know the local roads likely better than anyone. love to meet up with you!

hell...I want to spend some time on Barber and in the museum.....but seeing the AMA race would be kinda cool too!

Cool guys! I think that my dad and his friends have more of a relaxed attitude about deals gap. They certainly won't be pushing it. I just think it would be great to make the trip with people who have the same interests! Just let it be known that the two friends will be on harleys, my dad a BMW K bike and me on my GS. I'd love some people who have ducs to go so my dad and I can hear about your bikes!
