Having seen so many de-blinged, de-chromed bikes on here, I had to do the same (thanks to you guys for the links and info).

Here is my effort:

- Chrome rings removed from clocks (those self tapping screws are a pain)
- Headlight Bezel now black (don't ask how LOL)
- Black Shinyo Indies
- Black Levers (ebay)
- Black Renthal Bar ends (a pain to fit - they may never come out, LOL)
- Relocated the Horns (one on the frame, one in the bin)
- 10% Tinted Headlight protective film (Lamin-X)

Next up I'm gonna hide the reservoirs a little, and I plan to eventually get a Clubman LSL headlight, and I need to sort the spacers behind my indies. Any ideas?

Splendid, cant help with your spacers as I dont know how they're fitted, but heres an extra idea for you.
While your bike is laid up in winter, remove the headlight mount and U frame supporting it and powdercoat the lot black. I did this with my monster and it looks so much better than the standard aluminium finish.

I want to do this - and the bracket that holds on the front fender too. I will def get it done over winter.

In fact - my wheels are being done next week. ...I should do these bits while I'm at it.

Nice dutch. How are you liking those ebay levers?? Are they the hong kong imitations?

Im going for the same look and I agree with powdercoating the u-bracket/fender mount. Im doing the same once the snow falls.

Another option could be getting rid of the u-bracket completley and replacing it with a side mount headlight brackets and having a custom gauge bracket mount made that attaches to the top triple mount. I looked into this but didnt want to drop 200 on those LSL brackets. But man they look good.

The ebay levers were from a UK website, but I think they originally came from Hong Kong. The build quality appears 100% fine, but I assume they are low grade metal - however, they are definitly better quality than the OEM, and they are black... So that's fine.

If I had all the time and money in the world, then sure, it'd be LSL headlamp brackets, all the way (on shiny gold Ohlins), but if I can reduce the impact of the OEM brackets by powdercoating black, it'll look fine. ...It looks great on MojoDuc's bike.

However, I've just splashed-out on that LSL clubman 6.5 inch headlamp though. Just couldnt resist. Smaller front headlamps just look right on these bikes, and it wasn't the most expensive item.

I'm also considering some Shin Yo integrated tail/indicator lights, to chop the tail even more.

The headlamp is not from LSL… they just sell one from Shin-Yo and call it Clubman!!!

Here's the Shin-Yo link…

Nice! I was very close to pulling the trigger on that. But I went with a slightly larger 7.5in old school british style light I got from dimecitycycles, just because I think it looks good slightly larger...fits the bike. But that light is still sweet. Ill post up when I get mine.

I'll be looking into those levers....thx.

Hey Adam!
I opened the original plug and took out the cables including the pins. Got some male plugs to fit the original ones from the lamp and matched the color of the cables as good as I could... ;-)
A little tape for insolation and stuffed the rest in the lamp.
Worked perfectly.

Guido

If you need a pic for the coloring of the wires let me know.
