Hi,

Myself and a few other buddies on Ducati's or other performance bikes of character (European, that is), are planning a trip to Corsica July 4-10, 2010.

Feel free to join if interested.

Cheers,
Max (Paris, France)

A few details on the trip:

Corsica is a mountain in the sea. It is the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, and the most mountainous Mediterranean island. The highest peak is Monte Cinto (2 710 m). Its astonishing scenery, its almost unreal colours, the smells of the scrub, its non-stop sunshine and the traditions it has preserved make it a popular destination. The coastline of Corsica is 1000 kilometres long and has amazing cliffs, long sandy beaches and many hidden coves. Last but not least, the "Beauty Island" hosts treasures of twisting roads...

The Corsica Tour will take us around the island with a mix of coastal as well as mountain roads to discover the amazing views, towns and villages of the island. You will journey from Bastia on the north east coast to Bonifacio at the south through Ajaccio, Napoleon’s home town, as well as through Porto, Corte, and Sartene, the most Corsican town.

This tour will give us the opportunity to enjoy riding on swirling roads and to discover a place rich in history and great people.

Tour starts and ends in Bastia. Nearest Auto/Train station: Nice. (Auto/Train: don’t drive… until you arrive: http://www.tgv-europe.com/en/Train/Passenger_services/Auto_Train/)
Tour duration: 6 nights, 5 days.
Days of riding : 5, with the option to rest on Day 4 of the tour.
Mileage per day: 125-200, depending on the itinerary for the day.
Highlights: West coast, Cap Corse, Aïtone forest, Aiguilles de Bavella, Bonifacio, Gorges of the Solenzara...

Accommodation is planned in independent, reasonably-priced quality hotel-restaurants providing high quality service, authenticity and the discovery of local specialties.
