Any idea why Ducati likes to run this bike (2016 Multistrada) and the Monster 1200 so cold? Thermostat opens at roughly 140 degrees f, average thermostats for other bikes are set at like 180-190 degrees f.
Kind of wondering this myself. Our '11 seems to open about 165 or so, the '14 seems to be about 140, can't believe that is healthy? Shazzam, can you chime in on this please??
I've noticed mine runs about 160 F (give or take), but on a rare occasion, even on the highway, it heats up to 195 or so then proceeds to cool down and run again at about 160.
That's odd, even on a 70 degree day mine stays around 150-160 on the freeway. The lowest its been even at 33 degrees on the freeway was 134 but then it goes back up to roughly 140 and then back down again.
don't own a MTS 1200, but have noticed the same on the brand new '15 MTS 1200 i rode on the Ducati Test Rides few months ago.
have also noticed the same with SF848 and Panigale 899 i tried.
they seem to warm up quickly from cold to 65-70 C (150-160F) and then it kinda just stays there or just goes up a little on stop/go city traffic
