So I did a search and couldn't find any information pertaining to converting a street bike to be "off road" only. Meaning, there is no anticipation of ever riding it on the street ever again.
I've been riding my Hypermotard on the street and love it. The 748R has been track only. And early this month I had my first incident...I low sided in a long double apex turn (turn 4 out at Firebird East for those familiar). Anyway, the damage is minimal, but the bike is no longer pristine. And I want to continue to go to the track, learn more, and push. I will go down again...I've accepted this. No point in making it pristine again.
So, does anyone have experience with taking a bike "off road". Do I still have to do yearly registration (AZ)? Do I still have to carry insurance on it? What's the deal?
