Has anyone attempted to install a 1098 motor in a 748? I have a motor and all necessary parts and i love the older style of mine. I was just curious if anyone's tried.
Thanks

I have been considering doing the same but in a 999 chassis. I have been told it is a pain in the a** to do!

Probably easier to put 748 plastics on a 1098.

Thanks Tom, I know the 998 has a Testastretta -I run a 998.

The mounting points of the 748 and the 998 engines are the same, apart from the diameter of the mounting bolts (as far as I know).

Is this the only issue, or are there any other specific differences that make the 998 frame a better choice?

As far as I know, there are some differences in the bracing in the area of the airbox/TBs that need to be modified to put the TS engine in a non-TS frame.
