Hello all. New member to the boards. Just got a 2004 749. Love the bike.

I was replacing the clutch lever and pinched the rubber boot covering the master cylinder actuator and made a little hole in it. Wondering if this will affect the operation of the clutch at all?? Do I need to replace the rubber boot?

Thanks in advance for any help hope to see yall on the roads.

It's a dust seal. A little teeny-tiny hole should be okay... if it's torn, exposing the piston, I'd replace it.

Thanks for the advice. Do you know is it possible to purchase the dust seal by itself or does it come as a part of a MC rebuild kit?
