Searched the forum for this but no luck. Does anyone have a product they would suggest for small touch ups that could handle the heat of the exhaust?
jonnie - That might be the stuff the Pep Boys guy said they carry. Did you use it for touch up, and if so, did it match reasonably well?My can's at least 5 years old - got it at Pep boys off the shelf. VERY solid metal color when wet - but dried more of a metal flake look
Thanks jonnie - I've only got a few tiny areas I'd need to use it at this point so even if it didn't blend in perfectly it'd probably still help.I actually used it on a ford truck's bumper and it doesn't look half bad for paint.
Don't know what heat application will do to the coloration though...
BUT my neighbor has painted a complete set of headers with it (the exact same VHT)for his car and it looks more like some sort of ceramic coating more than chrome plating in his engine bay...
