Or you could just detach the exhaust servo cable from the flapper and be done with it...with the cable detached the flapper will remain in the open position. This is a simple 5 minute operation.

Excuse me as I am new to Ducati; but I think that will cause your CEL to come on?
If you unplug the electrical connection to the servo you'll get a CEL, if you detach the cable at the exhaust valve there will be no CEL as the computer dosen't know that the cable is not hooked up...the servo will operate as normal, but the valve will not operate. Note: it is still possible to get a CEL if the servo is bad, in which case you can have it replaced under warranty...or remove it and go with the duc.ee to prevent a CEL, or have your ecu reflashed and have the exhaust servo taken out of the equation.
