I'll finally be replacing those terrible Pilot Roads that came OEM on my ST3 with Avon Azaro St's within a couple of weeks and am wondering what the collective opinion is on taking the frt wheel off while the bike's on the fork stand. I've always used the stand just to lift the frt end up, and then wrap a tie down strap under/around the steering head and secure to a gas pipe jig I have that staddles the bike supporting the weight from above. I then pull the stand to work on the frt end. Can I just r&r the wheel on the stand? I've heard/read conflicting reports re damage to pinch bolts/axles etc, but figure the weight is supported by the triple tree pinch bolts, not the spindle etc.
