I'm trying to adjust the chain on my 1100 evo SP after installing the 14T sprocket and noticed that the shop manual says:

37-39 mm (1100 evo) and 44-46mm (1100 evo SP) as shown on the label on the swingarm

But the label on the swingarm says:

33-35 mm

Which do I believe?????

Also can I am using a center stand instead of the side stand. Does that change the measurements?

i'd go with the looser of the two stated specs.

running a chain a little loose is not going to cause the serious problems that running a chain too tight can.

I'll go with 44 mm then.

Thanks!

and chain tension standards are different for everyone. I remember going to tech and being told that my chain was too loose. I didn't touch the chain since another techy told me to loosen it. I like it on the loose side too.
