My Sport 1000 has close to 10K on the clock, and even though I always clean the chain and keep it in top condition, I may need to retire it soon. I wonder what's the different between X-ring and O-ring? How much it usually run? Also, what size will fit? Please advise... ;)

Thanks!

X-ring has two sealing surfaces instead of 1, so it is supposed to last longer before the seal fails. In practice, they do seem to last longer, but they are always on the best quality chains, so it's hard to really know.

I believe X-ring chains are also supposed to be able to seal while creating less friction, but I'm not certain if there's a lot of difference there.
