My 2012 PP already has glorious amounts of carbon fiber on it - so much so that the stock plastic belly pan looks out of place. So... I'm thinking a CF replacement is in order...

Has anyone had any luck with Moto Composites? Their carbon appears to be well made and they offer carbon on fiberglass as a cost savings option.

Thanks all!

Your existing belly pan is plastic? Mine is aluminum on my 2012 Touring S.

Had the three pieces powder coated black, along with the passenger footpeg brackets. Couldn’t stand the silver. /shudder

Ha! Well, maybe it's not plastic... But it's not carbon fiber... :wink2:

That's really nice efixe, but I think I'd really like "real" carbon fiber that matches the rest of the glossy bits on my MTS PP.

if you have the money, for sure :)

I only bought my carbon PP's wind screen and that was expensive enough.

you can also get glossy carbon vinyl for 20$ fiy :D

The belly pan will always get damaged by rocks, I'd hate to have real carbon fiber all wrecked up

Thanks for that link - that is a good deal. Interesting that the Ilmberger belly pan is a 1-piece design and Moto Composites is a 3-piece (as well as the Ducati OEM)...

I have a motocomposites 1-side CF windshield (PP replica) because it's half the price of DP. I am extremely satisfied with the quality, but not with the wait time. I ordered in mid-July, was given a 5-week wait time that I expected and was fine with. However, the part did not arrive until Oct 6. I was told it was peak time and that's what caused the delay. MotoComposites has a shop that builds CF parts for them- they don't make it themselves based on what I can tell from my e-mails with them. If you can stand a multi-month wait, go for it- the quality is superb and price is even better.

here's what I purchased: https://www.motocomposites.com/prod...n-fiber-for-ducati-multistrada-1200-2015.html

How much did it cost to powder coat? I'm thinking of doing the same.

Mine was $125 for belly pan peices, and exhuast sheilds..
Man, that really looks sharp. I'd say that's got a higher level of gloss that the stock PP shade of black...

Thanks all!
After a local aftermarket shop gifted me a used center piece in real CF, I've had these "matching" bits in my Ebay cart for almost a year now, about a $40 savings vs the OP's links above:

Enjoy!

In the same vein, has anyone had any luck with the "generic" Rizoma Ebay offerings?? : https?://www.ebay.com/itm/271694362466
