Hello
This was discussed as a semi thread-hijack a while back, reckoned I'd start a new one....
I did the AM commute on my 4s with Jet-Hot coated headers and while I "thought" I noticed a decrease in engine compartment temp's, (it was pretty cool at 5:30 A.M.) I'm certain I saw an increase in water temp. of 8-10 deg. F.
That, to me, would suggest that the heads were not utilizing the headers as "heat sinks" nearly as efficiently as they were prior to the coating being applied. so I'm optimistc that my legs may not be roasted quite as badly by that pesky vert. cylinder pipe in the future.
-I'll certainly find out details this afternoon when ambient temp's soar to near 100 F.....

BTW, I got the "Sterling Silver" (or whatever they call it) base coat on ID and OD for thermal reflectivity and a top coat of semi-gloss black on the OD. They came out really well.

I got the head pipes silver ceramic coated and may have noticed "some" difference in the rate at which my right thigh gets baked......
