Anyone here follow Supercross and/or AMA Motocross? There's a funny thing going on....

On the Supercross/Motocross forums, just about any thread about any topic de-volves into a Stewart love-hate rant. On a lot of the MotoGP forums, same thing happens with Casey.

Both riders are mind-blowing fast and do crazy stuff that is seemingly inhuman. Both are really fun to watch.

I don't think either rider could be called "controversial". Jason Lawrence in AMA motocross was controversial, and most people disliked him. Marco Simoncelli could have been called controversial, and everyone loved him. Neither of those riders caused the polarization that Casey and James do.

I don't get it.

Copied from a Google search (hey, I saw it on the internet so it must be true!):

'Ditto' comes from Latin, and means about 'as has been said before'.

Huh. I never knew that. All this time I thought it was a reference to the old school "Ditto" machines teachers used to copy papers they had typed out waaaaay before "Copy Machines".
