There was a thread on here years ago by a member who installed a metal Givi luggage rack on top of the Ducati-branded top case, but I can't seem to find it. Any help? Doing a 5k mile trip to CoTA next month and I'm going to need this rack on top for some longer items I need to lash down.
Or would anyone know if this rack (E107B V46 Top Rack) by Givi would universally fit on top? Looks like it would to me.
I can't help you with your questions but I thought I might suggest that maybe you don't need the rack. I strap down a 20 litre dry bag on top of the case. The front anchor points are the passenger grab rails and the rear points are under the case, on the round bar that supports the case mount. Depending on what you're planning to strap down, maybe a similar idea would work for you. The drawback is that the straps need to be unclipped to allow access to the top case, so I pack essentials and things I'll need during the day into the panniers.
