I need footpegs for my cadet 100 resto bad, thats the only part im missing.

i bought a set of NOS mountaineer pegs, but i forgot that the mountaineer's exhaust dosent hang down like the cadet, so they dont fit...

does the cadet use pegs like the 160 to clear the exhaust?

and where can i get a set for the 160? im having a bit of trouble finding (even an old rusty) set

-Nick

also if anyone knows, i have an expansion chamber that fits the cadet, was this an aftermarket part or is it for another bike?

Hello Dreyeice

The footpegs shown in your link are very similar to the ones fitted to my 1966 Ducati 50 SL/1, and that is to be expected since my bike and yours are both two strokes.

If I am correct, they mount to the frame via a radially-toothed coupling, in engineering terms called a Hirth coupling. This is a very good and precise way of connecting shafts to each other; but it's no good on the footpegs of small cheap motorbikes which are often used as learner-bikes.

regards
Thomas
