Ask to see service records, most people keep the receipts as the work can be expensive. They are dependent on miles, so 600m is break in service. Belts around 6k or 2-3 years. So that one should at least have those things done.

Make sure the bike had it's first 600 mile service, and the 7500 mile valve check/adjustment, if you get one with that many miles. Like jcasella said, you should ask to see the service records for proof.

Check the bike's VIN to make sure the model year is correct, look closely at bolts (oil drain bolt, Allen bolts) for wear/stripping/missing. These bikes have alot of vibration and things can loosen over time.
