Hi there.
I am very new to Ducati's, so any advice is appreciated.
I am going to look at a second hand 748 and want to know what I should be looking out for (especially as I notice it has a carbon swinging arm !)
Also what price is good.

Details:
1998 Red 748 Biposto,
Very good condition 17500 miles,
Full Ducati Service History,
Datatagged + Datatool Alarm,
50mm Termignoni race exhaust system ( + standard system included + EPPROM chip)
Carbon Swing-arm,
Carbon Hugger / Chainguard / Tank protector,
Tinted High Euro Windshield,
Showa Steering Damper,
Showa Rear Shock
Brembo Brakes/Hoses
New CORSA Diablo Tyres
Recent massive service: All Belts, New Chain/Sprockets,All Filters
1 years MOT

Many thanks in advance for any advice.
Silky

Assuming you're in the UK, are you buying privately or from a dealer with a warranty? if private I think it's about £400 overpriced, But a dealer would probably want £3800.

If it's got any warranty it would be wise to get it checked for flaked rockers, if there are any get them done under warranty either before you buy it or get assurance, in writing, that they will sort it.

As for Carbon Fibre Swingarm - they're nice & light but I would be concerned about it's integrity if it's a few years old and didn't know the history - is the original included with the bike?

:)

I would not pay more than $5K us for a 17k+ bike no matter what it had on it. Im not saying dont buy it, just dont get carrie away becasue of the mods.
