Brno MotoGP: SPOILER Potential

The news that Casey Stoner is out for 3 races provides a zero base for all the other Ducati riders. Nicky Hayden, struggling to come to grips with the Ducati GP9 must show he is the new leader of the Ducati charge whilst Mika Kallio gets a 3 race audition to prove why he, not Hayden, should have the factory seat for 2010. This makes Brno fairly critical then and Mika Kallio has come out guns blazing in the opening practice session to record 7th fastest time. Details here

Bah, Mika is gonna take some time to get use to his new mechanics, I wouldn't think he'd be doing well this early in the game. I expect him to do better in the race...

Fabrizio on the other hand... I predicted it... he'd be back of the pack, not knowing how to ride the bike. FUK! What the hell did he get himself into!

Yeppers! Mika made the right decision though, fuk if he does well these next few weekends, he is a shoe-in to replace Stoner! ;)

The headline "Kalio seventh fastest" will soon be replaced by "Kallio wads GP9"

You cynic you! Kallio ended up 10th fastest in qualifying a little less than 2/10th behind Hayden in 8th. Fabrizio 2nd slowest. Rossi on pole from George and Mr Personality

Well the Duc is filling the bottom half of the grid. Can we revisit the Duc is a POS topic again?
No way man, it's gotta be the riders. They all suck. Shouldn't have rides in moto-gp, need to go back to their local club racing scene, over payed egotistical asses... The bike is gods gift to the world of motorcycles because I ride one made by the same company so it of course can never be the problem.

Did I miss anything? :D

Just the fact that the only reason they hired Kallio is so they can sell more Ducatis in Finland. Remember, it's all about marketing these days!
I hear Finland is a huge bike market, with all the sunshine and whatnot.

One spoiler about this particular race, 140,000 people showed up for race day!

Who says MotoGP is dead?!?!?! :D

Rossi is the MJ of motorcycle racing. Making people crack under pressure the same way MJ did when he played. He is on his way to his 10th championship and will probably retire after he wins 10.

He'll retire when he breaks Ago's record
Valentino Rossi took another victory today during round 11 of the 2009 MotoGP Championship at Brno, Czech Republic, doubling his lead in the series as a result of his team mate’s crash and Casey Stoner’s absence. The two Yamaha men were in a class of their own and traded lap records back and forth as the 800’s surpassed the old 990cc pace. Pedrosa finished second and a looking for work Elias took the final step on the podium. Details and video of the crashes here

1. Valentino ROSSI (Yamaha), 43:08.991, 22 laps
2. Dani PEDROSA (Honda), -11.766 seconds
3. Toni ELIAS (Honda), -20.756
4. Andrea DOVIZIOSO (Honda), -21.418
5. Loris CAPIROSSI (Suzuki), -21.538
6. Nicky HAYDEN (Ducati), -25.544
7. Colin EDWARDS (Yamaha), -25.676
8. Alex DE ANGELIS (Honda), -34.109
9. James TOSELAND (Yamaha), -35.617
10. Randy DE PUNIET (Honda), -39.824

Damn. Jorge needs settle down just a little bit. Damn, he is a really good rider but you can tell he REALLY wants to beat Rossi. II sure hope he stays with Yamaha, because I can't think of anything better than the two of them going at it on the same bike.

Nicky put in a good ride, and beat Kallio both on factory bikes. I'm guessing Ducati retains Hayden and announces it at Indy. I wonder what Kallio was thinking when he Torpedoed Melandri. I can't believe he had the balls to step to Melandri like it was his fault.

Elias had his annual "my contract is up and I don't have a ride" ride. Curious to see if this will turn into a ride for next year or not.
The headline "Kalio seventh fastest" will soon be replaced by "Kallio wads GP9"
Perfect prediction Desmodue - methinks Kallio tried a little bit too hard! Looked like he was trying to flatten off the second half of the corner, and get the throttle on early Casey-style. Just didn't notice that black Stealth Kawasaki slipping through on the inside though...:think:

Kallio to Casey - Both your bikes are broken!
Hmm... Mika Kallio = Aaron Yates?

So who still thinks Colin Edwards is a better rider than Nicky Hayden?

What happens if your Dainese airbag suit goes off, but you can still get the bike back going? Can you deflate the thing, or will you finish the race looking like the Sta-Puft marshmallow man?

So many questions...
