That is a picture of your chain slider. It keeps the chain from rubbing on your swing arm when the chain stretches. You’ll be ok to ride it until you get to the shop. Mine on my 748s dried out and broke and I rode it for about 100 miles until I ordered a new pair.

Yea just don't ride too long that way or you'll wear your swingarm.

Call your shop in advance so they order the bolts, tell them you lost the lower chain guard. Maybe order the guard too if it's too damaged. But at least the bolts they are not standard, unlikely to be in stock.

I hope all of that damage happened when the thing came off.

Do you adjust the tension on your chain regularly?

I'm guessing not if you didn't know what the part was?
