One of our national retailers has a bike lift on sale. The lift would go under the engine and lift the entire bike off the ground. I'd have to put some lumber underneath to surround the muffler. Any ideas on this type of lift? Am I better off getting a wheel lift for the front and a second one for the back to keep the tires off the cement? What about winter storage? We've got a long winter up here in good old Canada!:)

Sounds like a cruiser lift for a bike that has a full frame, would not recommend that for a Duc. I have one of those for my HD and realized it would not work well for a Ducati, so I went and got a set of Pitbull's for my Sport classic. You can always just lower the air pressure instead of lifting. I've never gotten a flat spot for the 4-5 months mine do not move.
