Long story but the other day I was riding the hour to work and the bike ran perfect. Stopped about 3 miles short of work for gas and the bike wouldn't turn over again, had a buddy come jump the bike and it started right up. About a mile from work I lost serious power and the bike sounded like I only had one piston, came to a stop and it shut off completely.
Towed to the nearest shop (not a specific bike shop) and they found that the stator wires has fused and drained the battery. New wires and I'm back on the road.
Now the bike is not running right. It sounds different, not nearly as deep, and there is a lot more vibration by my right foot and knee and I have serious power loss. It began to bog when I'd get on the throttle but then stop. Got high on the rpms in 6th riding again but then this morning it struggled to go past 130.
I have an appointment for the timing chain in 3 weeks, wish it was sooner but I sould like to try to fix this issue if possible so I can still ride until then.
Thanks!
