HUGE 'shame on me' for this one....

I got my new belts (would really like to have gotten the lockhart ones, but I couldn't find em) and decided to do the install today. Got out my t-socket and pulled the covers off...

Now, I haven't gotten the chance to properly tension them yet but... When I got in there, I was able to remove the horizontal belt without loosening the tensioner! I know the motor used to be tuned using the 5mm trick, but these seemed terribly loose. I have a good feeling that they were looser than should be, but not sure yet.

Just 2 quick questions...

1. where do I 'flick' for the tensioning? I think its between crank and idler pulley, but I wanted to check.
2. What is the torque specs for the tensioner bolts?

Thanks all in advance.

EDIT:
I found the torque to be 25nM

Just finished. She fired right up, sounds good, sounds even...I will have to take her out for a romp tomorrow.

My next venture is the carb synch as detailed in another post.
